Who am I?

My name is Bradley Espinoza. I am a junior at Brea Olinda High School. This is my 4th year of Computer science classes. I am still very eager to get to work on projects, and learn as much as I can about all kinds of programming languages and functionality. My had a passion for video gaming and all things technology remains. I am also on the high school wrestling team, and wrestling is another one of my great passions.

What is GITA?

GITA is a challenging but fun class that allows students to exercise their creativity and problem solving skills in order to create computer programs. This year, we are learning how to create websites by coding in p5js. It requires a lot of patience, as projects normally take several hours, and most of the time is spent trying to fix errors. However, it is still very enjoyable, and it is definitely worthwhile to see it through until the end.

What I learned in GITA 2

When I took GITA 2, the primary focus of the class was learning how to code in html. I also learned how to create webpages and websites, and create links to other pages while inside the webpage. It was definitely challenging, and it took a while for me to get the hang of it, but it is definitely interesting and I enjoyed using my creativity for the web design aspect.

What I am Learning This Year in GITA 3

So far in GITA 3, we have learned how to code out projects in p5js, an browser coding software. The things required in GITA 3 definitely build off what I learned in GITA 2, as there is more website creation and design.

Future Goals

By the end of the year, I hope I will have created a pretty impressive portfolio. I plan to continue on the software development track, so I will do AP Advanced Computer Science next year. My long-term goal is to become a software engineer and hopefully even found my own company. I would love to become a video game designer, and I plan to take Unity and Unreal Engine courses, so I need to refine my skills in languages like C++ and C#.

What Are My Goals?

This year, my goals are to learn as much as I can about html as possible. I also hope to earn all As both semesters, stay on top of my assignments, and manage my time well. By the end of the year, I hope I will have created a pretty impressive portfolio. My long-term goal is to become a software engineer and hopefully even found my own company. That would be the best!

AP Classes

This year, I am taking 4 AP classes. I am in AP Calculus AB, AP Environmental Science, AP US History, and AP Language.

Extracurricular Activities and Clubs

I am on the BOHS high school wrestling team, and so far I am a two time masters qualifier as a freshman and sophomore. My little sisters also wrestle, and we go to the same wrestling club. I frequently volunteer to help out at the younger kids practices at club. Additionally, I am the president and founder of two clubs. One is Combat Sports club, where we watch fights and discuss moves and technique. The other is ALTOS Club, which is dedicated to helping ESL kids learn English better in a natural, at ease, setting.
